Point guard Chris Paul is one of the most intriguing NBA free agents this cycle. While he's now 40 years old, he's a future Hall of Famer that played all 82 games last season for the San Antonio Spurs and can clearly still contribute for a contender.

Paul spent his best years on the New Orleans Hornets (now the Pelicans) before joining the Los Angeles Clippers in his prime and also delivering some big seasons on the Houston Rockets after that. He is currently a free agent and recently revealed his retirement plans.

Paul was traded away from the Hornets to the Clippers in December 2011 for Eric Gordon, Chris Kaman, Al-Farouq Aminu and an unprotected first-round pick. During his long career in the NBA, Paul has also played for the Rockets, Thunder, Suns and Warriors.
