A girl was injured while playing with fireworks in North Philadelphia on Thursday, police said. The incident happened on the 1700 block of North Bailey Street at around 3:30 p.m., according to police. Police said the girl was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after the incident. Her condition isn't known at this time.

From his agent, Doug Hendrickson: “Najee Harris was present at a 4th of July event where a fireworks mishap resulted in injuries to several attendees. Najee sustained a superficial eye injury during the incident, but is fully expected to be ready for the upcoming NFL season.”

Alphonso Cooper Jr., 19 faces two counts each of assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm, as well as one count of carrying a concealed weapon and four counts of felony firearm, according to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

Laguna Beach police said they identified the suspect as a 13-year-old boy, who was arrested on suspicion of felony reckless burning of forest land.
