Walmart on Thursday recalled Ozark Trail 64 oz Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottles. The water bottle's lid could "forcefully eject" when a person tries to open the bottle after carbonated beverages, perishable beverages or food were stored inside over time, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

"Walmart urges consumers to return or discard Ozark Trail bottles after reports of lid malfunctions causing serious eye injuries. Affected bottles sold since 2017."

The retailer has received three reports of consumers who were “injured when struck in the face” after opening the 64-ounce Ozark Trail stainless steel bottles.
