Sen. John Cornyn flew aboard Air Force One with Trump to Kerrville, Texas, while Attorney General Ken Paxton attended the event to honor flood victims.

State District Judge Jill Renfro Willis, who presides over the 429th judicial district in Collin County, has recused herself from the case. Willis is the wife of Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis, who is known to be a close friend of Ken Paxton.

Paxton’s GOP primary opponent, Sen. John Cornyn, has yet to release his fundraising numbers but is starting with a deeper campaign war chest.
