A TV series adaptation of the "Wolfenstein" video games is in development at Amazon MGM Studios, Variety has learned exclusively.

Variety reports that Amazon is developing a Wolfenstein TV series with Patrick Somerville, who made post-apocalyptic miniseries Station Eleven and wrote some of HBO's The Leftovers (a show with a genuinely good twist), and Kilter Films, the production company behind Amazon's Fallout TV show.

Meanwhile, Amazon is re-teaming with Fallout series production company Kilter Films for the new project, with Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham all on board as executive producers. Keyframe Films’ James Altman, as well as MachineGames’ Jerk Gustafsson, have also joined as executive producers.
