On Tuesday evening ahead of its release, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported a few tidbits that could be of interest to fans of the conference in general and of the BYU Cougars specifically.

Just two days after last season ended with Indiana lifting the College Football Playoff national championship trophy, the Big 12 announced its schedule for the 2026 campaign. Every team, from reigning champion Texas Tech to Deion Sanders' Colorado, will play nine conference games next season.
