Rod Wood, the Detroit Lions' president and CEO, has announced that he will retire before the start of the 2026 NFL season.

The Lions hired Petzing last month to be their new OC, replacing John Morton, who was fired after one season in the role.

Drew Petzing spent the past three seasons calling plays for the Arizona Cardinals, and now takes over the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator job.
