Lufthansa announced a new business-class seat for its Airbus A380, with plans to have the first retrofit plane in service by April.

Lufthansa is set to retrofit its fleet of eight A380s with Thompson's VantageXL seating, offering direct aisle access for all.

Work is set to begin in February.
