Michael Carrick’s first game back at Old Trafford ended in resounding victory for Manchester United over neighbours Manchester City. In a first half dominated by the home side, Amad and Bruno Fernandes both had goals disallowed for offside, as did Mason Mount in the second half.

Manchester United Under-18s take on Derby County in the FA Youth Cup fourth round tonight. United entered the competition in the third round, beating Peterborough in their opening game at Old Trafford last month. The U18s are a talented crop and will have high hopes of going all the way.
