Ace Tarik Skubal gave up four runs in five innings as Detroit lost its series opener, 12-3, to the Seattle Mariners on Friday.

DETROIT -- Tarik Skubal suffered his first loss in more than three months as the Detroit Tigers fell to the Seattle Mariners, 12-3, on Friday night at Comerica Park. The Tigers (59-36) will play two more this weekend against the Mariners (49-45) in their final series before the All-Star break.
