The Mariners backstop claimed Monday night’s 2025 T-Mobile Home Run Derby crown, outslugging Tampa Bay’s Junior Caminero in the championship round for the title at Truist Park in Atlanta.

Seattle’s Cal Raleigh won his first All-Star Home Run Derby after leading the big leagues in long balls going into the break, defeating Tampa Bay’s Junior Caminero 18-15 in the final round.

ATLANTA -- Junior Caminero and Cal Raleigh advanced to the finals of the Home Run Derby on Monday night. In the semifinals, Byron Buxton -- facing Caminero -- followed his 21-homer first round with a seven spot in the second round. Caminero blew past that total, needing just 12 swings to reach eight homers and advance to the final round.

Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Oneil Cruz entered the Home Run Derby in Atlanta as one of the favorites to win it all. He did not disappoint in round one. Cruz was the fourth player to get his turn after the Nationals’ James Wood (16 home runs) the A’s Brent Rooker (17) and the Rays’ Junior Caminero (21).

Oneil Cruz, Junior Caminero, Byron Buxton and Cal Raleigh advanced to the semifinals of the Home Run Derby on Monday night.
