An investigation is underway after police said a man was shot and left to die on a street in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood overnight.
The man was discovered unconscious and unresponsive in the rear of the shop on Port Richmond Avenue near Catherine Street around 9:50 a.m. Saturday, police said.
Officers from the 24th District responded at approximately 1:37 a.m. to reports of a person with a gun in the area of Salmon and Monmouth Streets. Upon arrival, officers found the man lying unresponsive in the roadway in front of the 2900 block of Salmon Street.
