The Red Sox are rolling. And on Friday night at an "uncomfortable" Fenway Park, it was easy to dream of October baseball in Boston.

For the first time in 42 games, Red Sox manager Alex Cora penciled Alex Bregman's name onto the lineup card on Friday night. Bregman got the start at third base and went 1-for-4 with a double in Boston’s 5-4 win over the Rays.

The Red Sox sent David Hamilton down to Triple A to clear a roster spot for Bregman, who returned at third base. Romy Gonzalez and Ceddanne Rafaela will mix in at second with Mayer.
