Three Boston Red Sox players were named to the American League All-Star team Sunday - Garrett Crochet, Aroldis Chapman and Alex Bregman. Pitchers Crochet and Chapman, along with third baseman Bregman will be playing for the American League at the All-Star Game, which takes place on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia.
Right-hander Casey Mize was added to the American League roster on Friday, replacing Boston Red Sox lefty Garrett Crochet. He joins second baseman Gleyber Torres; outfielders Riley Greene and Javier Báez; utility man Zach McKinstry; and left-hander Tarik Skubal.
In November, the Red Sox signed closer Aroldis Chapman, now an eight-time All-Star. Garrett Crochet, who arrived via trade in December, is making his second appearance. And Alex Bregman, who Cora previously coached in 2017 for the Houston Astros, is headed to his third Midsummer Classic.
