THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB, WIMBLEDON — Coco Gauff is out of Wimbledon in the first round for the second time in three years, after a straight-sets defeat to Dayana Yastremska of Ukraine on No. 1 Court.

No. 2 seed Coco Gauff was shockingly upset at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships on Tuesday as Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska defeated the Roland Garros champion 7-6(3), 6-1.

Players walking to play at Wimbledon’s second-biggest stadium, known as No. 1 Court, are passing through a hallway renovated this year to display memorabilia and photos from the arena’s history.

No. 2 seed Coco Gauff was stunned in the first round at Wimbledon on Tuesday, falling to Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, 7-6, 6-1. Gauff, 21, was coming off a win at the French Open for her second Grand Slam title. The loss snaps a streak of making it to the fourth round in seven straight grand slams for Gauff.

Gauff debuted her signature shoes, the New Balance Coco CG2, in her new Wimbledon White and Green Apple colorway on court alongside the kit. Online shoppers can buy Gauff's tennis shoes for $160 in women's sizes on the New Balance website.
