Legendary former Alabama football coach Nick Saban looks pretty comfortable as an analyst for ESPN’s “College GameDay,” but one of his former proteges believes he may return to coaching.

Much like the President of the United States, Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze has come under fire for playing too much golf on the job. After several high-profile decommits and a dismal 2024 campaign that saw the Tigers go 2-6 in SEC play and fail to qualify for a bowl game for just the fourth time this century,

“I like Coach Freeze,” Kiffin said. “I have a thing with him, going back a few years ago, and he like, posted a picture in response to me, of like a two-pound bass or something like that. So, I’ve kind of always posted bigger fish pictures back towards him.”

Mississippi State and Ole Miss once shared the status of bottom tier SEC teams, but the Rebels have moved up. The Bulldogs haven't...yet.
