The Nevada Northern Railway National Historic Landmark is an amazing complex. I’m riding in the 1907 machine shop’s overhead crane from west to east. You can see Locomotives 93 and 81 back to back undergoing repairs. At the end of their service both locomotives were put on public display and sat outside for thirty years. So what’s it like to ride the Nevada Northern Railway? This is the Robinson Valley Route that heads towards Ruth where the copper mine is. One of the highlights of the trip is going through the tunnels. The first tunnel is one of the original tunnels that was built in 1907.
