The Taku River Tlingit First Nation hosted a three day celebration of Tlingit culture in Atlin, BC this weekend. One of the events was a salmon filet competition, which helped put food on the table for a feast the next day. The CBC's Meribeth Deen was there to catch all the action. | CBC Yukon

Focusing on the Tlingit people for the month of October, Tommy Joseph Tlingit from Sitka made this battle armor helmet. Tommy is a master carver who has done extensive work and study on Tlingit battle armor traveling to many countries, where many Tlingit pieces ended up in various museums.
